Marcella "Sweetie" Cross

Was born September 18, 1924 in Caruthersville, MO to John Treece and Trummie New Treece. She passed away on Saturday, November 24, 2018 at Missouri Delta Medical Center at the age of 94.

She was united in marriage on September 16, 1939 in Blytheville, Arkansas to Mack "Rusty" Cross, they were married for 76 years. He preceded her in death on December 27, 2015, also preceding her in death was her parents: Trummie New Treece and John Treece and 14 Brothers and Sisters, One son-in-law, Larry White and her daughter-in-law, Elizabeth Cross.

She was a member of the First Baptist Church in Portageville, MO, where she was involved in many activities. She enjoyed hosting gatherings for her family and friends, she was the family historian and loved telling the stories to the younger generations. In her earlier years she enjoyed crocheting, working on her flowers, doing puzzles and playing games. She was a stay-at-home mom, but she would help anyway possible in the restaurant that they owned and operated. Her greatest joy came from spending time with her kids and grandkids.

She is survived by her son, Mark (Laurie) Cross, two daughters, Barbara White, Marsha (Larry) Bradfield all of Portageville, MO, one sister, Helen Worley of Hot Springs, Arkansas. 8 Grandchildren, Kim (Ricky) Ray of Portageville, Kellie (Mark) Robbins of Portageville, Kevin (Kristie) White of Memphis, TN, Toby (Kelli) Bradfield of Portageville, Candace (Chris) Sutton, Mary Hannah (Jeremy) Angotti, Brooke Cross,  Marca (Kevin) Tibbs all of Portageville, MO,  19 Great-Grandchildren, 1 Great-Great Grandson, her loving caretaker, Mrs Pat Weaks and a host of many other relatives and friends.
