Loyne Dalton Simpson

W as born on May 15, 1923 in New Madrid, MO to the late Welton Simpson & Ida (Arnold) Simpson. He passed away on June 12, 2022 at New Madrid, MO at the age of 99 years and 28 days.

P receding him in death other than his parents, was his son, Jerry Simpson and his daughter, Joyce Patterson, his brothers, Arnold Simpson and Davie Simpson, his sisters, Bonnie Krebs, Lucille Brewer, Vivian Ward and Mildred Cobb.

H e was united in marriage on November 25, 1944 in New Madrid, MO to the love of life, Ann Naomi Porter Simpson, they were married for 76 years and she preceded him in death February 12, 2021.

H e worked most of his lifetime at the sawmill and doing carpenter work, he enjoyed taking things apart, mowing the lawn, working word searches, and reading his bible, but most of all he loved having his family with him. He was a member of the Catron Baptist Church where he served as a deacon, he had also served as a deacon at the New Madrid Church.

H e leaves to cherish his memories, his sons & daughters-in-law, Larry & (Mary Lou) Simpson of Colorado Springs, CO, Dalton & (Terri) Simpson of Portageville, MO, Bruce Simpson of Sikeston, MO, Bob Simpson of New Madrid, MO, and Brad Simpson of Farmington, MO. his daughters & sons in law, Sandy & Kenny Thompson of Malden, MO, and Marcy & (Sam) Faulkner of LaForge, MO. his two sisters, Patsy Tisher of Lilbourn, MO. and Margaret Simpson of Lilbourn MO, 24 grandchildren, 54 great-grandchildren and 1 great-great-grandson. And a host of many other relatives and friends.
