Life's Reflections

Louise Evans was born on October 21, 1940 in Point Pleasant, Missouri to the union of Dewey and Araie Evans. She was the youngest of thirteen children. Both parents, all her siblings, oldest child Stephanie Long and 5 grandchildren preceded her in death.

She gave her life to Christ at 12 years of age at Lily Of The Valley Baptist Church and continued to be an active member until her health failed her. She was a Prayer Warrior spreading the good news about Jesus to everyone she came in contact with. She was loved by everyone, never too busy to pray or give a scripture for whatever you were going through. She always had a kind word and never knew a stranger. It was nothing to see her pull out her anointed oil and pray for someone. It didn't matter where you seen her she would tell you about The Lord, she was a true example of walking the talk.

Some of our favorite quotes/memories of her were: (Plead The Blood Of Jesus), (By His Stripes I Am Healed), (No Weapon Formed Against Me Shall Prosper). Once when she was in the hospital her doctor came in to see her and he thought she was in pain, she always prayed out loud. The doctor asked the nurse was she hurting and the nurse replied, No she's just praying. She became known at the hospital as the "Praying Lady", now to me that is truly being in tune with the Lord.

Mom loved and trusted God with all her heart never once doubting him. Some days the pain would be so unbearable but you could hear her praying out loud telling God she refuses to believe what man said and she was standing on His Word. Whatever His will was she was ok with it and if she had Wings of a Dove she would fly away. She praised God until the end and got her wings.

She leaves to cherish her memory: four children: Famous Evans and Nekesha Evans of Marston, MO; Rhonda Evans and Abe Evans, (Niece/Goddaughter) Glenda Wadley of St Louis, MO; one son-in-law: Booker Long of Marston, MO, fifteen grandchildren, fourteen great grandchildren and a host of nieces, nephews, cousins and friends. She held a special spot in her heart for (Brittany Huff, Charlotta Smith and Eugene Bishop)
