Lindol LaRay Stewart Was born November 12, 1937, in Portageville, MO, to Fred Stewart and Neva Lane Stewart. He died Thursday, October 1, 2015, at his home in Portageville, MO, at the age of 77 years, ten months and nineteen days. He was united in marriage to Joy Dean Phillips on July 26, 1958, in Lilbourn, MO, and from this Union four daughters were born; Debra, Joy LaRay, Stacy and Sandy. Preceding him in death were his parents, Fred and Neva Stewart; daughter, Joy LaRay Stewart; sister, Marceline Cook; brothers, H.C. (Bo), Lilbourn (Shorty), James (Jim), Bobby Jack, and Ronnie Stewart. He was retired from the U.S. Army Corps of Engineers and owned and operated Portageville Pawn Shop for several years. He enjoyed the art of the deal, loved a good joke, had the gift of gab, and was an avid Cardinal fan. As a younger man he enjoyed fishing, hunting, and playing fast-pitch softball. He leaves to cherish his memories, his wife of fifty - seven years, Joy Dean Stewart of Portageville, MO. Three Daughters: Debra (Russ) Kingsbury of Portageville, MO, Stacy Stewart of St. Louis, MO, Sandy Stewart of Portageville, MO and Three grandchildren, Tristan Stevens of Cape Girardeau, MO, Torey Stevens and Taryn Kingsbury both of Portageville, MO, and a host of many other relatives and friends.
