Linda Marie Williams was born on January 7, 1953, in Conran, Missouri, to the late Mary Lee McGary Pointer and Willie Williams Jr. She peacefully passed away on April 9, 2026, at her residence in Portageville, Missouri, at the age of 73.

Linda was preceded in death by her loving parents, Mary Lee McGary Pointer and Willie Williams Jr., and her siblings, Juanita Gibson, Jerry Martin, Alberta King, and Dennis Williams.

Linda pursued higher education with dedication and excellence. She attended Southern Baptist College, Arkansas State University, and Southeast College, where she earned both a Bachelor's degree and a Master's degree. She devoted her professional life to education, teaching elementary school in Caruthersville, Missouri, where she made a lasting impact on countless children and families.

A woman of deep faith and service, Linda was a faithful member of Morning Glory Convent Ministry. She was actively involved in many church clubs and ministries, including Kids Beats, and served as an Abstinence Educator for Pemiscot County through the Teen Prevention Program with Lincoln University Extension. She also taught Sunday School for many years, demonstrating her love for teaching and her commitment to guiding others in faith.

Linda leaves to cherish her precious memories her beloved brother and sister‑in‑law, Randy and Barbara Williams of Decatur, Georgia; and a host of nieces and nephews, including: Jacqueline Rasheed (Jamal Randy Rasheed), Jerry Martin Walker (Val Walker), Sammie Gipson Jr., Johnny Martin, Jimmy Gipson (Kayleen Gipson), Derinda Gipson, Teresa R. Booker, Gwendolyn Gipson, Cottrell McEkath, Sonja Brown (Henry Brown), April Martin, Latoria Aldridge (Lamon Aldridge Sr.), Terrance Williams,
Jeremy Williams, Marsha Pope (Ronnie Pope), Brandi Williams, Scarlet Gipson, and Daniel Neason.

She is also remembered fondly by a host of other relatives and friends whose lives she touched with love, wisdom, and kindness.

Linda Marie Williams will be remembered for her unwavering faith, dedication to education, and her lifelong service to her church and community.
