as born Feb. 11, 1928 in Buena Vista, TN to Rev. Neil Butler and Lillian (Hargrove) Butler. He died Monday; May 15, 2017 at his residence in Portageville, MO at the age of 89 years, 3 months and 4 days.

receding him in death were his parents, Lillian (Hargrove) Butler and Rev. Neil Butler.
He was united in marriage to Naomi (Barnes) Butler in 1948 in Camden, TN; she preceded him in death. He later married Betty (House) Butler in 1999 in Portageville; she survives of the home. Rev. Butler served as a minister for 61 years; he served as the Methodist minister in Portageville for many years.

e leaves to cherish his memories his wife, Betty Butler of Portageville, MO, one son, Leland "Paul" Butler of Bonne Terre, MO, his daughter, Karen Ruth Seaber of Farmington, MO, brother, Myron Timothy Butler of Buena Vista, TN, his sister, Lorelle Kee of Chaster, SC, two grandchildren, John & Madison Seaber and a host of many relatives and friends.
