He died Thursday, November 7, 2013 at Pemiscot Memorial Hospital in Hayti, MO at the age of 75 years, 2 months and 4 days. Preceding him in death were his parents Leon Smith and Audrey Clytee Parker, his stepfather, Orville Henson and his stepbrother, Stanley Wayne Henson. He was a member of the First Church of God in Portageville. He leaves to cherish his memories two daughters and a son-in-law, Christina & Greg Corbett of Portageville, MO, Denise Garcia of Tupelo, MS, and one son and daughter-in-law, Perry & Lucy Smith of Texas City, TX, four brothers and three sisters-in-law, Doc Smith of Portageville, MO, Larry and Anita Henson of Hayti, MO, Ronnie & Audrey Henson of Portageville, MO, and Wayne and Barbara Henson of Shibley, IL, nine grandchildren: Brenna, Reagan & Haley Corbett of Portageville, MO, Kayla DeShae Upton and Kimberly Michelle Brown of Tupelo, MS, Jenna Smith of Texas City, TX and Mallory Smith & Jeff Schmidt of Bacliff, TX, B.J. Smith and Amber Foster of Portageville, MO, great-grandchildren: Landen Lane and Kylie Shae Upton, Caide Reid Goodrich and Taylor Grace Sheffield of Tupelo, MS, and Levi Jaxon Schmidt of Bacliff, TX , Brielle Smith of Portageville, MO and a host of many other relatives and friends.
