Laura Jean Mayberry was born June 2, 1961 in Portageville, MO (Jay-Wye) to Clarence and Hazel (Green) Brown. She died Monday, December 9, 2013 at the Missouri Delta Medical Center in Sikeston at the age of 52 years, 6 months and 7 days. She was united in marriage to Buddy Mayberry April 20, 1990 in Dyersburg, TN. He survives and resides in Portageville, MO. She lived in Portageville for most of her life but had spent the last 2 years in Sikeston. She was employed by the Nutrition Centers in Portageville and Sikeston for several years. She served 4 years in the United States Marine Corps. She was preceded in death by her father, Clarence Brown and one brother Darrell Brown. She leaves to cherish her memories: her mother, Hazel Brown of Sikeston, MO, her husband, Buddy Mayberry of Portageville, MO, son, Justin Brown of Portageville, MO, four brothers: Larry (Carolyn) Brown of Cape Girardeau, MO, Gary (Sandra) Brown of Marston, MO, Don (Kay) Brown of New Madrid, MO and Mike (Patti) Brown of St. Louis, MO; two sisters, Brenda (Don) King of Sikeston, MO and Debbie (Mike) Pyles of Matthews, MO, one sister-in-law, Theresa Brown of Gideon, MO several nieces and nephews and a host of many other relatives and friends.
