Larry David Swilley

Was born June 25, 1955 in Sikeston, MO to Cody Swilley and Ruth Attberry Swilley. He passed away on Friday; December 14, 2018 at home in JayWye, MO at the age of 63.

On February 6, 1999 in Conran, MO, he married Alice Tittle, who survives of the home. Larry graduated from Portageville High School in 1973. He was blessed with a job at the Associated Electric's New Madrid Power Plant, starting at an entry level position and worked up through the ranks to Yard Operations Superintendent where he retired in 2013 with a total of 40 years of service. Larry served as an EMT for the New Madrid County Ambulance District serving the community of Portageville after work and on weekends. He was a member of the New Madrid County Civil Defense. He was also an active member of the Boekerton Baptist Church since 2001, where he served as Sunday School Teacher for boys 4 ^th -6 ^th grade, a Trustee, and a member of the Building and Grounds Committee.

Preceding him in death were his parents Cody Lee Swilley and Ruth Attberry Swilley and one brother, Jerry Swilley of Conran, MO. In addition to his wife, Alice, he is survived by one son, Jason (Misty) Swilley of Portageville, MO; one daughter, Heather Swilley of Mt. Vernon, IL; one stepson, Joseph (Becky) Tittle of Cape Girardeau, MO; one stepdaughter, Joan (Larry)Reid of Jackson, MO; four grandchildren, Mary Hannah Swilley and Jacob Swilley of the home; Lauren Ludolph of Cape Girardeau, MO, and Gabriel Swilley of Cadet, MO. He is survived by three brothers, Jim (Judy) Swilley of Conran, MO; Gary Don (Tammy) Swilley of Lilbourn, MO; Steve (Amber) Swilley of Conran, MO; and two sisters, Lynda Jennings of Salem, KY; and Mary Ruth (James) Ferguson of Marston, MO; and a host of other relatives and friends.
