Lanny Gene Laws Sr Was born May 24, 1960 in Point Pleasant, MO to Verla Mae King and William L. "Son" Laws. He died Saturday January 2, 2010 at Hayti, MO at the age of 49 years, 7 months and 9 days. He was united in marriage to Brenda Thompson on February 24, 1979 in Boekerton, MO. She survives of the home in Portageville, MO. Preceding him in death were his parents, Verla Mae King & William L. "Son" Laws. He had worked at J. K. Tool & Die Company for 34 years and graduated in 1978 from Portageville High School. He leaves to cherish his memories his wife, Brenda Laws of Portageville, MO; 2 sons: Lanny "Scooter" (Jennifer) Laws, Jr. and Lenard (Jessica) Laws all of Portageville, MO; 3 brothers: Lenard E. Laws of LaSalle, IL, Stanley R. Laws of Portageville, MO & Glen (Karla) Laws of Point Pleasant, MO; 2 sisters: Brenda Bay of Quincy, IL & Patricia (David) Barnes of Trafalger, IN; 4 grandchildren: Cholye, Lee Garrett, Macey & Abigail Laws and a host other relatives and friends.
