Krista Gail Lawrence

47, of New Madrid, MO passed away December 23, 2023 in Cape Girardeau, MO.

Daughter of Kaye Blackburn and the late Carl Blackburn, Krista was born on August 25, 1976 in Alexandria, VA.

Krista was a Registered Nurse who had a gift for serving others. She was a fierce patient advocate and embodied a rare combination of superior intellect with intuition and empathy. Krista was a true asset to both her coworkers and the patients she served. Her hobbies included nursing, traveling, watching St.Louis Cardinals play ball, and hanging out with her great nieces and nephew.

Krista leaves behind her mother, Kaye Blackburn of New Madrid; one sister, Anne Lawrence of New Madrid; niece, Jesseca Sprouse of New Madrid; nephews, Alex Sprouse and Wade Mowery of Sikeston, Chandler Smith of Georgia ; great nieces, Bella Roberts and AnnaKate Nowell of New Madrid; great nephew Connor Sprouse of Sikeston and many friends that she considered family.

A memorial will be held at Delisle Funeral Home on December 30, 2023 at 12pm with funeral services starting at 1pm.
