Kevin Ray Young

W as born November 22, 1957 in Hayti, MO to Vernon Elco Young and Alene Davidson Young. He passed away on Wednesday January 10, 2018 at Southeast Hospital in Cape Girardeau, MO at the age of 60 years.

P receding him in death were his parents, Alene Davidson Young and Vernon Elco Young and one sister, Anita Elizabeth "Tootie Young on November 14, 2017.

K evin was employed with Richardson Gin for 45 years where he grew his love and knowledge for cotton. He was a 1976 graduate of Portageville High School, He previously served his community by serving on the   Portageville Fire Department from July 1, 1981 to September 23, 2000 where he was responsible for getting vital equipment in Southeast MO Region, he also taught for Columbia Fire School. He also enjoyed building model airplanes and trains, but most of all he enjoyed time spend with his girls and grandchildren.

H e leaves to cherish his memories; two daughters;  LaVonda (Danny Hensley) Young of Grassy, MO and Danielle (Luke) Stoverink of Cape Girardeau, MO, one brother: Bruce Young of Portageville, MO, his three grandchildren: Hunter Keller, Allyson Keller & Drake Hensley, three nieces: Misty Young, Ashley Young & Kristy Miller, one nephew, Bruce Wade Young and a host of many other relatives and friends.
