In Loving Memory of Kendall Lee Laws

Kendall Lee Laws, 69, of Portageville, Missouri, passed away peacefully at his home on Friday, June 26, 2026, in Portageville, Missouri. He was born on September 29, 1956, in Conran, Missouri, to the late Mildred Lovell Laws and Edward Lee Laws.
Kendall was a retired mechanic whose hands were rarely still — whether he was hunting, fishing, or restoring old cars, he found joy in working outdoors and creating with skill and care. He was united in marriage to Tonya Smith on July 12, 1981, in Portageville, Missouri, and together they built a life filled with love and devotion.
He was preceded in death by his parents; his brothers William Edward Laws, Doyle Laws, Don Laws, Clarence Laws, and Eddie Laws; and his sisters Gladis Laws, Helen Lane, Carolyn Pruitt, and Kay Blachett.
Kendall is survived by his loving wife, Tonya Laws of Portageville; his son, Phillip Lee Laws of Atlanta, Georgia; and two cherished grandchildren, Dylan Laws of Caruthersville, Missouri, and Alex Laws of Portageville, Missouri.
Kendall will be remembered for his warm heart, his dedication to family, and his love for the simple pleasures of life. His memory will live on in the stories, laughter, and love he shared with all who knew him.
