Kathryn Ann Black, born on November 13, 1962, in Hot Springs, Arkansas, to Shirley Gafford and Buddy Wilson, passed away on Wednesday, April 24, 2024, at St. Louis University Hospital in St. Louis, MO, at the age of 61. She was preceded in death by her mother, Shirley Gafford, and Step-father, Robert Gafford.

On December 7, 1984, she married the love of her life, Harold G. Black in Little Rock, Arkansas, where they called central Arkansas home for 35 years. Kathryn worked in publication distribution management where she excelled before joining her husband on the road, traveling 49 out of 50 states before settling down in Harold's home town of Wardell, MO.

Kathryn loved her fur babies, George and Katy, and cherished spending time with her family. Her passions included cooking, shopping, and her new found love of gardening.

She is survived by her husband of 39 years, Harold G. Black of Wardell, MO, her two sons: Nickolas (Jamie) Black of Benton, AR, Timothy Black of Bethlehem, West Virginia, daughter: Mikki Black Varner of Clarksville, AR, brother: Robert Wilson and sister Regina Sullivan of Benton, AR, her father: Buddy Wilson of Hot Springs, Arkansas, 6 grandchildren: Jaelynn Black, Whitney Coffman, Erica Black, Heidi Black, Timothy Matthew Cook, Avery Black, Nathan Black, Natalie Black, 8 great-grandchildren, and a host of many beloved friends and family.
