Karen A. Fowler

W as born March 2, 1956 in Kankakee, IL to Gary and Margaret (Ray) Martin. She passed away Friday, March 23, 2018 surrounded by her loving family at her home in New Madrid, MO at the age of 62 years and 21 days.

S he was united in marriage to the love of her life, Joey Fowler, July 12, 1975 in Conran, MO. To their loving union, two daughters, Jaclyn and Natalie, were born. Joey preceded her in death November 16, 2012 after 37 years of marriage. Also preceding her in death were: her parents, Gary and Margaret (Ray) Martin, her brother, Gary Martin and her granddaughter, Eleanor Rose Halliday. She was a member of the First United Methodist Church in New Madrid for many years. Karen loved music and was the pianist for many of the church's special events. She was employed at Farm Credit Office in Sikeston, MO as a farm account specialist.

S he leaves to cherish her memories: her daughters, Jaclyn (Craig) Halliday of Excelsior, MN and Natalie (Casey Mikel) Fowler of New Madrid, MO; one brother, Greg Martin of San Antonio, TX; one sister, Carla (Joe) Brown of Conran, MO; two grandchildren, Graham Elliston Halliday of Excelsior, MN and McKenzie Mikel-Fowler of New Madrid, MO as well as a host of many other relatives and friends.
