Nell June Battles Was born June 1, 1930 in Clarkton, MO to Lena Mae Ray Harrison and Walter Harrison she died Wednesday; March 23, 2011 at Gideon Care in Center Gideon, MO at the age of 80 years, 9 months and 22 days. She was united in marriage on September 27, 1952 to Fred Battles in Arkansas, he proceeded her in death on January 29, 1998, also preceding her in death, were her parents, Lena Mae Ray Harrison & Walter Harrison; Her brothers and sisters Dorothy Miller, Louise Boone, Winford Harrison, Bill Harrison, Missy Battles, Farris Harrison, Alfred Joe Harrison, Thomas Harrison. Was a member of the First United Methodist Church of Marston . She was a mother and was a house-keeper for many families, she was a cook at the nursing home along with many other restaurants. She received "Woman of the Year" from the Marston Civic Club and she always loved her family and her many friends. She leaves to cherish her memories, daughters and sons-in-law, Donna & Bob Cook, of Temple, Texas, Rebecca Mayes, of Riverview, Florida, and Larry Williams & Gay St. Mary-Williams, of Taylorsville, Ky. Son and daughter-in-Law, Kim & Angie Battles, of Granite City, IL. sister and brother-in-Law, Eva & George Jordon, of Palasio, Texas. her brother and Sister-in-law, Bob and Lois Harrison, of Pollard, Arkansas. Six grandchildren; Jason Mayes, Eric William St. Mary, Chad Aaron St. Mary, Taylor Battles, Brady Battles, and Emily Battles. Two great-grandchildren, Gabrielle St. Mary and Silas St. Mary, and a host many other relatives and friends.
