Joseph "Joey" Alan Blurton, age 34, of Wardell, Missouri, passed away on Thursday, December 18, 2025, in Corning, Arkansas. Born on August 2, 1991, in Blytheville, Arkansas, Joey was a beloved son, brother, and friend whose presence brought joy and laughter to everyone around him.

Joey had a passion for life that was evident in the things he loved most—playing guitar, shooting pool, hunting, and spending time with those closest to him. He cherished every moment with his girlfriend, Jessica Cooper, and was eagerly anticipating the arrival of their child. Joey accepted the Lord in his life as his Lord & Savor. His easygoing nature and warm heart made him a friend to many and a source of strength to his family.

He was preceded in death by his grandparents, Sterling and Fern Blurton, and his maternal grandfather, Melvin Pittle. Joey leaves behind a loving family who will forever hold him in their hearts: his girlfriend, Jessica Cooper of Pocahontas, AR; his mother, Cheri Pittle Blurton; his father, Glenn Blurton of Wardell, MO; maternal grandparents Gerald and Shirley Hamm of Caruthersville, MO; his sister, Sarah Van (Niekie) Aswegen of Wardell, MO; niece Emma Wrather; nephews Jacob Wrather and Brentley Wrather; and many aunts, uncles, cousins, and friends who will miss him dearly.

Joey's life was a testament to love, laughter, and loyalty. Though his time with us was far too short, the memories he created will live on forever in the hearts of those who knew him.

Visitation will be held on Sunday, December 21, 2025, from 1:00 to 2:00 p.m. at DeLisle Funeral Home Chapel, followed by services at 2:00 p.m. Burial will take place at Wardell Cemetery.
