Johnnie L. Via

W as born September 9, 1958 in Hayti, MO to Hazel Jones and John Via. She passed away Friday November 15, 2019 at her home in Portageville, MO at the age of 61 years, 2 months and 6 days.

P receding her in death was her mother, Hazel Ethridge March 13, 1990 and father, John Via July 10, 1993. She was of Baptist faith and enjoyed reading history especially Native American history. She also loved to crochet. She retired from teaching after 28 years at North Pemiscot School.

S he leaves to cherish her memories: her sister, Ruth Via of Portageville, MO; cousins, Betty Qualls of Rutherford, TN and Raymond (Ruth Ann) Bruton of Point Pleasant; her faithful dog Lizzie and cats, Gracie, Bear, Joe and Meme and many other good friends, students and fellow teachers who lives she touched along the way.
