John Richard Worley

W as born July 28, 1934 in Wayne County, TN to Lena Pear Warren Worley & Eliphae Allen Worley. He passed away on Saturday January 18, 2020 at his home surrounded by his loving family  in Greenfield, TN at the age of 85 years.

P receding him in death was his parents Lena Pear Warren Worley and Eliphae Allen Worley, eight brothers and sisters. He was a member of the Bethel Baptist Church and past deacon of the Hornsville Baptist Church. He served in the United State Air Force, was a Graduate of the Union University with a degree in banking and he became Vice President of the Bank. He was united in marriage to Carolyn Underwood in a double wedding along with Billy & Maxine Goodman on June 26, 1954 in Senatobia, Mississippi

H e leaves to cherish his memories his wife of 66 years, Carolyn Worley of Greenfield TN, two sons; David and (Sherrie) Worley of Greenfield, TN. Kevin and (Karen) Worley of Memphis, TN, four grandchildren: Ben (Elizabeth) Worley, Ginger Worley (Dusty) Tuder, Cody (Danielie) Worley, Allison Worley (Austin) Floyd and a host of many other relatives and friends
