John L. Odom, 70 of New Madrid, Missouri passed away, Friday, December 25, 2020 at his home.

A celebration of life will be held from 12:00-3:00pm at his home, 633 Riley Street, New Madrid, Missouri.  Burial will follow immediately after Evergreen Cemetery, New Madrid, Missouri

On August 28, 1971 he married Ann Stellato.  John was employed with Noranda Aluminum until his retirement after 40 years.

He was an avid hunter and fisherman.  He enjoyed piddling in his shop during his free time.  If you needed to find him…look in the shop.  He was a member of Aerie 4203 Eagles and a Booster Member of American Legion #595.

John is survived by his wife, Ann and their two children; Samantha Odom-Patterson (Bobby)of Ozark, Alabama and John Christopher Odom (Tina) of New Madrid, Missouri.  He had the pleasure of loving seven grandchildren, Kimberly Patterson (Hunter) of Ariton, Alabama; Mason Olds (Hayden) of Brundidge, Alabama; Anna Cate Haddan of Ozark, Alabama; Allie Odom (Alan) of Burton, Ohio; Abbie Odom of Madison, Ohio; Katelyn Calvarese of Cape Girardeau, Missouri and Dylan Williams of New Madrid, Missouri.

He had the joy of three precious great-grandchildren, Jon Rylan (Kimberly and Hunter); Chase "Maddox" Olds (Mason and Hayden) and Alan (Allie and Alan).

He is preceded in death by his father, Vaughn Odom and son-in-law, Terry Patterson and nephew Ryan Odom. He is survived by his mother, Ada Odom and brother, Larry Odom (Marsha)and nephew Justin Odom.
