Was born Jan. 1, 1947 in DeSoto, MO to Helen Edith (Thomas) Haverstick & John William Haverstick. He passed away on Saturday, May 16, 2020 at his residence in Sikeston, MO at the age of 73 years, 3 months and 29 days.

October 30, 1971 in St. Louis, MO he married Vickie Leary she survives of the home. Preceding him in death was his parents; Helen Edith (Thomas) Haverstick and John William Haverstick , also preceding him in death was one brother, Steven Haverstick and one sister, Mary Lee Haverstick. John was a retiree at Noranda Aluminum, He served in the United States Air Force.

He leaves to cherish his memories, his wife- Vickie Haverstick of Sikeston, MO, Son- John David
Haverstick of Sikeston, MO, daughter- Jana (Randy) Ott of Jackson, MO, one grandson, Jacob
Compas of Cape Girardeau, MO , and a host of many other relatives and friends
