Joseph Vernon " Joe" Edwards

Was born September 14, 1927 in Portageville, MO to Lindon Edwards and Grace (Jackson) Edwards. He died Tuesday; Feb. 21, 2017 at Sherwood, AR at the age of 89 years 5 months and 7 days.

February 1, 1947 in Piggott Arkansas he married Marcella Hardin she survives of the home. Mr. Joe was a member of the First Baptist Church in Portageville and Fellowship Baptist Church in Sherwood. He served in the U.S. Navy. He owned and operated a sanitation service, he served 40 years as a Boy Scout Leader and was a member of the Kiwanian's and enjoyed fishing and spending time with his family.

Preceding him in death were his parents, Grace (Jackson) Edwards and Lindon Edwards, one sister, Dortha Countz, three brothers, Conway, Clell & Rondal Edwards.

daughters; Debbie (Don) Franklin of Sherwood, AR, Tina (Rick) Harris of Sherwood, AR, Leslie (Paul) Gillian of Sherwood, AR brother; Charles (Jean) Edwards of Crestview, FL, 21 Grandchildren:                          41 Great Grandchildren, a host of many other relatives and friends.
