Jimmy Leo Wilson

Jimmy Leo Wilson was born on June 19, 1943, in Olive Branch MS. to the late Opal & Woodrow Wilson. He passed away on Saturday April 27, 2024, at Gideon Care Center Gideon MO at the age of 80 years.

Preceding him in death was his parents, Opal, and Woodrow Wilson, also preceding was: two brothers, Larry & Joseph Wilson, sisters: Phyllis Ross & Dortha Lavah. Mr. Jim served in U.S Army and served time in Vietnam, where he was the recipient of a Good Conduct Metal. After returning from war, he went on to farming at Wilson family  farms and owning & operating local restaurant the Big Jims little dinner. Mr. Jim had many hobbies which included playing golf, cooking, buying & selling used farm equipment and most of all spending time with his children and grandchildren. He later went on to work for the Portageville Police Department as a dispatcher up till his retirement. He was a member of First Church of God Church in Portageville.

He leaves to cherish his memories, wife: Lavanna Wilson of Portageville MO, his three sons:  Cary (Katina) Wison of Pollard AR, Mike (Tonya) Wilson of Portageville MO, Chris "Coot" (Amber) Wilson of Portageville MO, his two sisters: Donice (Glen Berkemeyer) of Morrilton AR, Donna (Tony) Woodard of Hot Spring AR grandchildren: Payton (Chase) Jackson, JT Wilson, Lawton (Jacie) Wilson, Corlie Wilson, Owen Wilson, Hunter Wilson, Ella Kathryn Wilson, Spencer Harwell, Gracie Harwell, his great grandchildren: Legend Wilson,  Maverick Jackson and a host of many other relatives & friends.
