SIKESTON — Jim Wayne Farrenburg passed away Saturday, Oct. 16, 2021, at Delta South Skill Nursing and Rehabilitation Center in Sikeston at the age of 79 years.

He was born Sept. 21, 1942, in Morrilton, Arkansas, the son of the late Cecil and Alma Williams Farrenburg. Jim served as New Madrid County Clerk from Jan. 1, 1975, until his retirement on Dec. 31, 2003.

His first marriage was to Doris Jean Schuerenberg in Kewanee, Missouri, on Sept. 24, 1965, and they were the parents of one daughter, Jean Ann (Kevin) Morris of Lilbourn, Missouri. His second marriage was in Sikeston on Nov. 11, 1977, to Jan Hollaway Porter, who survives of the home.

Jim Wayne is also survived by a sister, Sharon Farrenburg of New Madrid, Missouri; two grandsons, Tyler Morris of New Madrid and Justin Morris of Lilbourn; stepson, Chris (Tina) Porter of Essex; and two stepgrandchildren, Jackson and Caroline Porter of Essex, Missouri.

As per Jim's wishes, he will be cremated with a private scattering of his ashes done at a later date.
