W as born May 3, 1930 in Wardell, Mo to Jim F. York and Ada Mae Sims. He died January 22, 2016 at Bensenville, IL at the age of 85 years, 8 months and 18 days.

H e was united in marriage to Wanda A. (Smith) York, she preceded him in death August 13, 2005, also preceding him in death were his parents, Ada Mae Sims & Jim F. York, One brother, Cletus York, two sisters, Lorene Crafton & Marie Braddy. Mr. York worked as a crane operator with Danley Machinery in Chicago, IL until retirement, he also served in the U.S. Air Force and was an Evangelistic Minister.

H e leaves to cherish his memories his son; Rickie Joe York (his Fiancé' Sue Sanders) of Westmont, IL, his daughter; Connie (her husband ; Samuel) of Arab, Alabama, brother; David York of Horn Lake, MS, sisters; Virginia Lane Work of Ridgley, TN, Josie Cheser of Ridgley, TN, 6 Grandchildren; Stephen Rider, Christopher Rider, Adam York, Elizabeth Naatz, Jason Bridges & Jennifer Willis, 10 Great-Grandchildren and a host of many other relatives and friends.
