Jerry Lee Tubbs was born September 22, 1958 in Granite City, IL to Marlin and Roberta (Meekins) Gardner. He died Wednesday, January 1, 2014 at his home in Portageville, MO at the age of 55 years, 3 months and 10, days. He was united in marriage to Lucy (Agustine) Tubbs in the Phillipines on June 11, 1979. She survives of the home. Preceding him in death was his mother, Roberta Gardner. He was a member of St. Eustachius Catholic Church in Portageville, MO. He was a past employee of Plastene and was currently employed at Unilever. He served in the Navy for 20 years and loved fishing and spending time with his family. He leaves to cherish his memories: his wife, Lucy Tubbs of the home in Portageville, MO, his stepfather, Marlin Gardner of Portageville, MO, a son, Danny (Jacie) Tubbs of St. Peters, MO, a daughter, Luella (Travis) Scherer of Portageville, MO, two brothers, Jim Gardner of Kansas City, MO and Robert Tubbs of Gosnell, AR, a sister, Cheryl Simmons of Perryville, MO, two granddaughters, Mia and Ava Scherer and a host of many other relatives and friends.
