Jasper R. "Ramsey "Jap" Was born Jan. 12, 1919 in Advance, MO to the late Irene and Jasper Ramsey. He died Sunday Jan. 27, 2008 at Pemiscot Memorial Health System, Hayti, MO at the age of 89 years and 15 days. He was united in marriage in Malden, MO on Jan. 15, 1946 to Wreatha Center who preceded him in death March 25, 2004. Also preceding him in death his son, Danny Ramsey; 2 brothers: Glenn & James Ramsey and 1 sister Lovetta. He served in the US Army and was a veteran of WW II. He leaves to cherish his memories 3 sons: Jimmy (Connie) Ramsey of Portageville, MO, Dale (Letty) DeMay of Fenton, MO & Eldon (Peggy) DeMay of South Carolina; 1 daughter- in-law, Margorie Ramsey of Portageville, MO; 1 brother: Gary Ramsey of Nashville, TN; numerous grandchildren & great-grandchildren, 3 great-great-grandchildren and a host of other relatives and friends. Services Services were conducted 11:00 a.m. Wednesday January 30, 2008 at the DeLisle Funeral Chapel with Rev. James McCulloch officiating. Pallbearers were: Steven Weller, Jimmy Ramsey, Nicholas Simmons, Justin Campbell, Marcus Keene & Mark Ingrassia. Interment followed in Portageville Cemetery
