In Loving Memory of James Samuel "Jim" Jolly Sr.

June 13, 1951 – June 4, 2026

James Samuel "Jim" Jolly Sr., 74, of Portageville, Missouri, passed away peacefully on Thursday, June 4, 2026, in Sikeston, Missouri. Born on June 13, 1951, in Conran, Missouri, Jim was the son of the late Herbert Jolly and Emma Boyer Jolly.

Jim was united in marriage to Regina Prince on March 12, 1976, in Marston, Missouri, and together they shared 50 years of love, laughter, and devotion.

A man known for his strong work ethic and friendly spirit, Jim spent many years as a delivery driver for Lester Furniture and Gas Company in Portageville, where he earned the nickname "Brownie." He later worked for Ivie Oil Company, followed by nearly two decades at MFA Chemical in Lilbourn. Even after retiring from MFA, Jim wasn't ready to slow down—he drove a school bus for the New Madrid County R-I School District for eight years, faithfully transporting "his babies" from the Parma area to and from school.

Jim was a proud member of Kewanee Missionary Baptist Church, where he served actively and joyfully. His final day on earth was spent doing what he loved—helping with Vacation Bible School.

Outside of work and church, Jim had a passion for collecting classic cars and was the "official mower" of the family—no one else was allowed on his mower. Above all, he adored his grandchildren and great-grandchildren, spoiling them endlessly and taking great pride in their accomplishments.

Jim is survived by his loving wife, Regina Jolly of the home.
