James Y. Hawks

Was born March 2, 1951 in Marston, MO to Henry Hawks and Hazel Slider Hawks. He passed on Tuesday August 15, 2017 at his home in Portageville, MO, at the age of 66 years.

Preceding him in death was his father, Henry Hawks and one sister: Joyce Thomas. In 1971 he was drafted into the U.S. Army serving during Vietnam War, he enjoyed collecting guns but his passion was driving a truck across the country for many years.

He leaves to cherish his many memories; his longtime partner: Dinah Jones of Portageville, MO, his mother: Hazel Slider Hawks of Portageville, MO, two sons: Matt (Micah) Hawks of Portageville, MO, James William Hawks of Dexter, MO, two step-sons: Denton Jones and Derek Jones both of Dyersburg, TN, one sister: Diane Lechenette of Portageville, MO, five grandchildren: Alex & Aiden Hawks and Trenton, Karli & Lily Kate Jones and a host of many other relatives and friends.
