James "Jim" Disher

James "Jim" Carol Disher entered his heavenly home on Saturday June 8, 2024. He was 90 years and 8 months old. He was born to the late Paul & Alice Disher on October 21, 1933. He grew up in Boekerton, MO and had a love for farming.

In 1953 Jim & Gertude Younger were married. Two years later, blessed with the arrival of Judy Carrol Disher {Scherer}.

In 1977 Jim was married to Maggie M. Disher. In 2022 Jim was married to Pat Weddington.

Through the years, Jim was known to have a great sense of humor and making people laugh. Conversation was easy and one always seemed to leave with a smile on their face. He was man of encouragement always finding a way to look for the good. He always found time to pick up a rock and leave a smiley face on it. In hopes it would bring joy to someone's day. His love of Jesus was evident in his daily interaction. His willingness to serve in his Boekerton Church was top priority for him even teaching Sunday School at the age of 89. His greatest joy was people.

He was preceded in death his parents Paul & Alice Disher. His brother Bill Disher, his sisters, Beauton Thurman & Pat Morgan.

He leaves to mourn his passing his wife. Pat and his daughter Judy (Joe) Scherer of Portageville, brother-in-law, Benny Morgan of Portageville: niece, Brenda (Jerry) Bethel of Milford, IN. stepdaughters; Becky (Jerome) Ellis of Portageville, Elisha (Angel) Lee of Portageville: Kristy (Mike) Simeone of Portageville: Stepson Richard (Tina) Goodman of Midland City, AL: grandchildren and great- grandchildren.
