Jackie C. Metz

Was born March 21, 1929 in Piggott, AR to Thomas Emil Metz and Lura Travillian Metz. He passed away on Saturday, May 12, 2018 at his residence in Portageville, surrounded by his loved ones, at the age of 89 years 1 month and 21 days.

On December 22, 1978 in Jackson, Mississippi he married Brenda (Smith) Metz. Mr. Metz was a Masonic 32 second degree, he was a truck driver for Complete Auto and he collected guns and coins, he enjoyed hunting and fishing, watching the Cardinals play or seeing a good western. He was a member of the First United Methodist Church.

Proceeding him in death were his parents: Lura Travillian Metz and Thomas Emil Metz and one brother, James V. Metz.

He leaves to cherish his memories his wife, Brenda Metz of Portageville, MO, his sons: Steve (Rose

Ann) Metz of Ridgeland, MS, Kent (Brenda) Metz of Florence, MS, his step-sons; Tim Brasher of

Fort Leonard, MO, Scott Brasher of Portageville, MO, his daughter, Shirley (Tom) Smith of Vienna,

IL, 9 grandchildren; Danny Metz, Amy Fontan, Courtney Metz, Shelley Sori, Tommy Smith, Danny

Smith, Kaela Elizabeth Brasher, Jacob Brasher, Ryan Brasher and 9 Great-Grandchildren and a host

of many other relatives and friends
