Isaac "Hawk" Townsend

W as born June 17, 1928 in Searcy, Arkansas to John Townsend and Becky Haney Townsend. He died Sunday January 29, 2017 at his home in Kirkwood, MO at the age of 88 years, 7 months and 12 days.

P receding him in death were his parents; Becky Haney Townsend and John Townsend, one daughter; Linda Lou Townsend, seven brothers; Pete, Millard, Dillard, Fletcher, Alfred, Jackie and Ed Townsend and his sister; Elva Vires. He was united in marriage to Marzene L. Curtis on December 18, 1948 in Piggott, Arkansas, she was the daughter of the late  E.A. and Dellar Curtis  and from this union four children were born; Pamela Sue Robertson, Gregory Scott Townsend, Keith Eric Townsend and the late Linda Lou Townsend. He was retired from McDonald Douglas Corporation, where he worked as a painter. Isaac was a dear brother-in-Law, father-in-Law, uncle, great uncle, cousin and friend.

H e leaves to cherish his memories; his wife of 68 years Marzene L. Curtis Townsend of the home in Kirkwood, MO, three children; Pamela Sue (and the late Michael) Robertson of Cedar Hill, MO, Gregory Scott Townsend of St. Louis, MO and Keith Eric Townsend (Brandi) of Pensacola, FL and brother Donnie Townsend of Mobile, Alabama, seven grandchildren: Shane Robertson, Bridget Robertson, Brett Robertson, Eric Townsend, Collyn Holiday, Isaac Townsend and Nola Naylor, nine great grandchildren and a host of many other relatives and friends .
