Irma Elaine Bernice Nolen was born on August 22, 1958 in Hayti, MO to the late Betty Jean Nolen and the late Samuel Davis. She was one 8 children, 2 of which preceded her in death.
Irma grew up in Portageville, MO and lived there most of her life while working at Plastine Supply until she later moved to New Madrid and carried out her life. She became a well-known resident of the town to the whole community.
In 1999, she joined the Mount Olive Missionary Baptist Church of New Madrid under the leadership of Rev. Leotis Aikens where she confessed her life to Christ and was baptized.
Throughout her life, she never met any strangers, and always greeted everyone with a smile. She also met her life-long friend, Jack Jones Jr. During this time, and he stayed by her side throughout the span of her life. Irma's all-time favorite hobby was playing a good spades game with family and friends while listening to her music. She loved her gospel and blues.
She leaves to forever carry out her memory five children; Felicia (Leroy) Nolen of New Madrid, MO, Chad (Chasity) Nolen of Fulton, MO, Rhonda (Dan) Nolen of Jacksonville, FL, Santana Nolen of Caruthersville, MO, Kayla (Terrell) McGee of Marston, MO, 3 sisters, Sarah Yancy of Portageville, MO, Carolyn (Tony) Nolen of Lilbourn, MO, and Tammy Davis of Indianapolis, Indiana, 5 brothers, Clyde (Kim) Nolen of Portageville, MO, Larry Nolen of Portageville, MO, David Nolen of Malden, MO, Frankie Nolen of Portageville, MO, and Sammy Davis of Indianapolis, Indiana, 6 grandchildren, La'Naijah Hester, Danity Miller, Chad Nolen Jr.,Ta'Marria McGee, Chance Nolen and Terriell McGee and a host of aunts, uncles, nieces, nephews, and cousins, and so many close friends.
Ms. Irma Elaine Bernice Nolen was a very loveable, outspoken, kind-hearted person. She will rest in our hearts forever.
