Irene Godair Was born September 29, 1921 in Portageville, MO to Gus Patterson and Zora Kennon. She died June 16, 2011 in Portageville, MO at the age of 89 years, 8 months and 17 days. She was united in marriage to Hershal Godair in 1936. He preceded her in death on Jan. 8, 2005, also preceding her in death, were her parents, Gus Patterson & Zora Spencer Kennon. For many years she faithfully was beside Reverend Hershal Godair as he ministered at Portageville for 30 plus years. She leaves to cherish her memories, her four sons; Dalton "Eugene" Godair of Salisbury, NC, Johnny Godair of Durham, NC, Clinton "Buddy" Godair of Portageville, MO and Kenneth Godair of Burlington, NC, nine grandchildren, eleven great-grandchildren, and a host many other relatives and friends.
