Hester (Pardon) Bass Rainwater Was born December 16, 1905 in Dickson County, TN to Minnie (Reed) Pardon and Henry Pardon she died August 18, 2008 at Portageville Nursing Center at the age of 102 years, 8 months and 2 days She was united in marriage in 1921 to Amos Bass Sr. to this union her two children were born, she later married Ira Rainwater in 1949, he preceded her in death in 1976. Also preceding her in death were her parents, Minnie (Reed) Pardon & Henry Pardon, her daughter, Frances (Bass) Walker, her grand-daughter, Sherri Ann Scherer & great grand-daughter, Megan Elizabeth Scherer, 2 brothers, Will & Emitt Pardon, 3 sisters, Ida Campbell, Ellen Pardon & Adelle Powell. She was a lifelong member of the First Baptist Church in Portageville where she served in many clubs and activities. She was employed At Segals Department Store for 28 years.
