Henry F. Brands Was born April 2, 1923 in Portageville, MO to Sena (Elfrink) Brands and Theodore Brands Sr. He died Wed. Feb. 22, 2012 at his residence at the age of 88 years, 10 months and 20 days. He was united in marriage to Irene Brands on August 5, 1947 in Portageville, MO, she preceded him in death Nov. 23, 2004 , also preceding him in death, were his parents, Sena (Elfrink) Brands & Theodore Brands Sr. his brothers; Frank Brands, Theodore (T) Brands Jr., Sisters; Jane Priggel, Florence Elizabeth Brands, Nora Scherer & Florence Scherer. He was a lifelong member of St. Eustachius Catholic Church & He farmed for many years. He served on the Board of Farmers Bank for over 30 years. Member of the Knights of Columbus. Was on the Farm Service Agency Board for 9 years on Drainage District # 29 He leaves to cherish his memories his sons: Richard (Rita) Brands , Michael (Sheila) Brands, Mark (Karen) Brands all of Portageville, MO, his daughters; Linda (Gene) Mallett of South Haven, MS & Becky (Kevin) Scott of Bartlett, TN, One sister; Lucy Savat of Poplar Bluff, MO And one brother; Herman (Catherine) Brands of Portageville, MO 11 Grandchildren; Several - Great-Grandchildren and a host many other relatives and friends.
