Helen Glascock Moore Was born August 13, 1915 in Wynnberg, TN to Maggie Locke Glascock and Bennie B. Glascock. She died Monday Feb. 4, 2008 at Antelope, California at the age of 92 years, 5 months and 22 days. She was united in marriage to Joe A. Moore on Feb. 11, 1933, in New Madrid, MO. He preceded her in death on October 26, 2002. Also preceding her in death were her parents, Bennie B. & Maggie Locke Glascock; five sisters & three brothers. Born and reared in Lake County TN she moved to Portageville in January 1933. Following Mr. Joe's death she moved to California to live with her daughter. She was a member of the First Baptist Church in Portageville for 61 years. She leaves to cherish her memories her daughter, Peggy and son-in-law Denny Walsh; one grandson, Sean Joseph Walsh and his wife Kelle McCracken Walsh; two great-grandchildren: Jack William and Ella Marie; one brother, Reeder Nunnery of Huntsville, Ala.; one sister, Betty Jean Rich of Goreville, IL & many nieces and nephews. She leaves her special God-daughter Linda Rogers of New Madrid, MO whom she loved so much and her very special friend Shelia Glastetter and a host of other relatives and friends.
