Gloria Jean Causey, 64, passed from this life on February 18, 2021. She was born May 1, 1956 in Flint, MI to the late Gloria Bernice Cronan and Sam Hite. She was the oldest of six children. Jeannie, as she was known by friends and family, attended Malden High School, and later Three Rivers Community College. She enjoyed crocheting, genealogy, and ceramics.

In addition to her parents, Jeannie was preceded in death by a sister, Ruth Hite, a nephew, Matthew Hite, and an ex-husband, Leroy Carpenter.

Jeannie leaves to mourn in her passing: one son, Samuel Provorse of Cape Girardeau; two brothers, Sam (Bethany) Hite of Cape Girardeau, Bruce Cronan of Malden; two sisters, Kimberly (Terry) Kerr of Parma, Beth Cronan of Campbell; a step-father, Welton Cronon of Malden; two step-sisters, Cathy Cruz (Melinda "Mindy" Cantrell) of Springfield, Vicki (Richard) Bergamo of Lewiston, ID; two step-brothers, Rick Cronan of Dexter, David Cronan of Lewiston, ID; an ex-husband, Ralph Provorse of Campbell; a treasured second cousin, Mike (Michele) Eagan of Prescott, MI; cherished, life-long friends, Sherry and Terry McDaniel of Poplar Bluff, and several nieces and nephews.
