George Adolph DeRousse
W as born December 30, 1930 in Pemiscot County to Thelma Ethel Pigg DeRousse & Ollie DeRousse. He passed away on August 4, 2020 at Tishomingo Manor, Iuka, Mississippi at the age of 89 years 7 months and 5 days.
P receding him in death was his parents, Thelma Ethel Pigg DeRousse and Ollie DeRousse, one daughter, Theresa Eastburn and two brothers, Bernie DeRousse in 1961 and Wilburn DeRousse in 1995 and sister Margie Simmons in 2019 and one grandchild, Denver Roberts Jr He was united in marriage to Lillian Peggy Cook,on February 10, 1952 in Osceola, Arkansas she preceded him in death on February 4, 2015. He was a member of the Hayward Baptist Church, and was a united states veteran serving in the army during the Korean war. He loved to spend time with family and friends and work word puzzles.
H e leaves to cherish his memories: Sons & daughter-in-law, George DeWayne & Linda DeRousse of Middleton, TN, daughter & son-in-law, Chery & Denver Roberts of Booneville, MS and Karen DeRousse of Booneville, MS two sisters, Margaret Phillips and Mary Ada Daugherty both of Portageville, MO, one brother, James DeRousse of Portageville, MO, 8 grandchildren, Stephanie Massey, Misty Burnett, David DeRousse, Jason DeRousse, Steven Eastburn, Heather Roberts, Bradley Roberts and Derrick Roberts. 16 Great Grandchildren and 3 great great grandchildren and a host of many other relatives and friends
