Geneva (Hoggard) Patton

Geneva (Hoggard) Patton was born on September 29, 1932 in Portageville, MO. to the late Rena (Porter) Hoggard & Robert Hoggard.  She passed away on December 12, 2024 at New Madrid Living Center, New Madrid, MO, at the age of 92 years, 2 months and 13 days.

She was united in marriage to Alfred Patton March 1, 1952 in Piggott, Arkansas he preceded her in death on July 31, 1970. Also preceding her in death was her parents, Rena (Porter) Hoggard and Robert Hoggard, also preceding her was her brothers, Coy and Quincy Hoggard, daughter, Vicky Patton, Sisters,  Virginia LaFerney and Colean Mansfield.

Mrs. Geneva worked for the DeLisle-Pikey Gin for several years then she became the secretary for Dr L.B. and Dr Andrew Painter where she took care of her community for years.  She grew many vegetables and loved spending time canning and providing for her family. She was a member of JY Church of God.

She leaves to cherish her many memories her sons;  Alfred Patton of Little Rock, AR, and  Coy Patton of Portageville, MO, her brother; Russell Hoggard of Portageville, MO, sister; Carolyn Fisher of Indiana, 3 grandchildren; Austin Patton, Carisa Ellis, Collin Patton, Great Grandchildren Hunter Patton, Natalie Patton, Ellie Patton, Lillah Patton, Avery Tompkins, Charlie Tompkins and a host of many other relatives and friends.
