Gay Robinson Was born August 8, 1930 in Hayward, MO to Jeffie Gaines Robinson and Joe Robinson. He died Monday September 14, 2009 at Barnes Hospital, St. Louis, Mo at the age of 79 years, 1 month and 6 days. He was united in marriage to Juanita Dill in New Madrid, MO on September 4, 1954, who survives of the home. Preceding him in death were his parents, Jeffie Gaines Robinson & Joe Robinson; 3 brothers J.B. Robinson, Chester Robinson & Amon Robinson; 5 sisters: Georgia Johnson, Bessie Noland, Edna McCulley, Edith and Lorene Robinson. He retired after 45 years as a farm equipment mechanic from the McCrate Equipment Company in Portageville. He was a veteran of the Korea War serving in the Army. He was awarded the Korean Service Medal, 3 Bronze Stars, National Defense Service Medal, United Nations Service Medal & Good Conduct Medal. He leaves to cherish his memories his wife of 55 years, Juanita Dill Robinson of Portageville, MO; 2 sons: Tony Douglas Robinson of Litchfield, IL & Malcolm Robinson of Nixon, MO; 1 daughter, Juanita Gayle Rogers of Pleasant Plain, IL; 1 brother, Vester Robinson of Portageville, MO; 4 grandchildren: Nikki (Chris) Carron of Portageville, Georgia (Trevor) Callahan of Hillsboro, IL, Brandon (Callie) Rogers & Kevin Robinson all of Litchfield, IL; 7 great-grandchildren: Dillan, Ryan & Braydon Carron, Josey & Karrick Callahan, Samara & Jasmine Rogers; numerous nieces & nephews who thought "Uncle Gay" was tops and a host of other relatives and friends.
