Franklin Hillis

W as born June 19, 1932 to Ervin Hillis and Zonie (Stroud) Hillis. He died Wednesday. July 27, 2016 at his residence in New Madrid, MO at the age of 84 years and 1 months and 8 days.

O n September 29, 1951 in Arkansas he married Donna (Hester) Hillis, who survives of the home in New Madrid. Preceding him in death were his parents; Zonie (Stroud) & Ervin H. Hillis, four brothers; H.B. Hillis, J.T. Hillis, Reuben Hillis and jerry Hillis  one daughter; Sherrie Damback, his sister; Venita Curtis, daughter- in -law; Sherry K Matlock Hillis, brother- in- law; Bill Bearden & sister- in –law; Edna Hillis. He was a retired farmer and loved caring for people and going to farm sales, but most of all he enjoyed feeding and watching his birds.

H e leaves to cherish his memories his wife of 65 years Donna (Hester) Hillis of New Madrid, MO, one son;  Phillip Wade (Becky)  Hillis of Melbourne, FL, his daughter; Rhonda Rena (Mike) Russell of Collierville, TN, one brother; Reedie "Bud" Hillis of Fredericktown, MO, one sisters: Alice Bearden of Florissant, MO, six grandchildren; Summer Hillis Beauregard, Alex Held, Adam Dambach, Zackery Rowe, Brandon Russell & Leanna Russell and two great grandchildren: Bailey Held & Parker Held , and a host of many other relatives and friends.
