Was born July 6, 1947 in Wardell, MO to Eual Canoy and Betty Cheek Canoy. She passed away Monday, Oct. 31, 2016 peacefully at her home in Wardell, MO, surround by her family, at the age of 69 years, 3 months and 25 days.

Preceding her in death was her parents, Betty (Cheek) and Eual Canoy, husband, David Thornton, brothers, Butch Canoy & Eddie Brent, sister, Joyce Ann Canoy, two grandchildren, Gregory Hawk Callens, Brett Hayes Rinehart. She loved quilting and spending time with her grandkids.

She leaves to cherish her many memories her sons: Jackie (Ruby) Rinehart of Portageville, MO, Timothy (Wanda Jones) Rinehart of Wardell, MO, two daughters: Diane (Scott) Gilboe of Wardell, MO, Susan (Brandon) Ledbetter of Dyersburg, TN, brother: Sammy (Loretta) Canoy of Wardell, MO, sisters, Sarah Ruth Barymon of Mammoth Spring AR, Janie Miller of Wardell, MO, Shelia Skinner of Portageville, MO, 14 Grandchildren: Kristy Gilboe Swan, Michael Scott Gilboe, Brandon David Hounihan, Dillion Zachary Hounihan, Hayley Brooke Carpenter, Payton Alexis Ledbetter, Dalton James Rinehart, Meagan Nichole Rinehart, B.J. Flippo, Casey Christine Forrester, Katlyn Laney Rinehart, Jay Cooper, Courtney Cooper & Devon Payne. 9 great-grandchildren: Mollie Grace & Maezie Kate Swan, Austin Kyle Shelly, Tristen Devon Tims, Karsyn Giuliana Ann Tims, Ella Flippo, Cooper Harrison Swan, Gage Elliot Hounihan, Elizabeth Paige McCaig and a host of many other relatives and friends.
