Leo Eugene Farmer

W as born November 24, 1929 in St. Louis, MO to Leo Farmer and Retha Viola Farmer. He died Sunday; January 17, 2016 at his home in Portageville MO at the age of 86 years 1 months and 24 days.

H e was united in marriage, to Euladean M. (Dacus) Farmer on June 18, 1950 in Piggott, AR she survives of the home. Preceding him in death were his parents, Retha Viola Farmer & Leo Farmer, a son, Ross Eugene Farmer in April 1954, his brother, Larry Donald Farmer.

E ugene first worked as a house mover with his father, Leo. After military service he became an automobile mechanic and worked for Olstein Buick, Massey Chevrolet, Bill Hayes Ford Sales and independently at LaFont's service station. He retired from Noranda after nearly twenty years at the conclusion of his career.

E ugene was an avid hunter and loved jug fishing on the river. He loved the outdoors and being with family and friends. He was a charter member and past president of the Whichawaydidego Hunting Club comprised of L. C. Keith, Peck Boone, O. A. Huck, Bob Woods, B. J. Rooker, Bob Boone, Bud Faries, Leo Farmer and Eugene Farmer. He attended the First Church of God and was a regular cook for their monthly men's breakfast.

H e leaves to cherish his memories his sons, Leo Brent (Cindy) Farmer of Metamora, IL, Scott Alan (Kim) Farmer of Portageville, MO, his sisters, Leota Faye Mathenia of Pacific, MO, ½ sister, Theresa DeBretto of Hayti, MO, four grandchildren: Holly (Collin) Moneymaker, Adam (Lizzy) Farmer, DeAnna (Trey) Weddington, Casey (Brad) Armstrong , six great- grandchildren, Blake, Briley, Luke, Kendall, Laney, Edyn and a host of many other relatives and friends.
