Esther M. West was born January 15, 1938 in Catron, MO to A.T. West and Luvenia Reed. She died Monday, October 6, 2014 at Southeast Hospital in Cape Girardeau, MO at the age of 76 years, 8 months and 21 days. She was married in Portageville. Preceding her in death were: her parents, A.T. West and Luvenia Reed, three brothers: Minus, Mike and Thomas West; a sister, Magnolia West and a nephew Ricky Smith. She was a member of the Pleasant Grove #2 Church. She leaves to cherish her memories: two sons, Warren (Diane) Bishop of Palatine, IL and Alfred "Jack" West of Portageville, MO; four daughters: Charlotte and Maxine West, both of Portageville, MO and Meredith (Jerry) Goodrich and Patrice Bishop, both of Jonesboro, AR; a special daughter, Martha "Jean" Walton of Portageville, MO; sister, Erma Ector of Memphis, TN; grandchildren: Marcus, Taqulia, Sheritta, Jerral, Geoffrey, Lindsay, Don, Lon and Woody, one great-grandchild, Miara and a host of aunts, uncles, nieces, nephews, cousins and friends
