Erma Rhoades Brooks Was born November 18, 1925 in Scottland AR to William Lonnie Rhoades and Ruth Scroggins Rhoades. She died Friday May 15, 2015 at Golden Living Center in New Madrid, MO at the age of 89 Years 5 months & 27 days. She was united in marriage to Wayne Brooks on May 12, 1944, he proceeded her in death on March 12, 1994, also preceding her in death were her parents, Ruth Scroggins Rhoades & William Lonnie Rhoades, brothers, Dewey Rhoades, Huey Rhoades, Kenneth Rhoades and one sister Virginia Smothers. She worked for over 50 years at the New Madrid County Library as a bookkeeper (among many other job titles). She was of the Methodist faith attending the First United Methodist Church in Portageville. She leaves to cherish her memories her daughter and son-in-law, Susan Victoria & Phil Newman of New Madrid, MO and one grandson: Jonathan Thomas Newman of Springfield, MO. and a host of many other relatives and friends
