Emma Ruth Hayes Was born Jan. 30, 1928 in Pascola, MO to Russell Sydney Jeffers and Georgia Grace (Jackson) . She died Monday, July 27, 2015 at Home, Hayward, MO at the age of 87. She was united in marriage August 16, 1944 in Mississippi to Tommie Smith who preceded her in death, she then married Clayborn Duke on Feb. 14, 1977 he also preceded her in death, she later married in Belleville, MI on June 15, 2003 to Clarence Hayes, he preceded her in death April 7, 2012 also preceding her in death, were her parents, Georgia Grace (Jackson) & Russell Sydney Jeffers. Her son, Tommie Smith Jr. daughter, Gail Smith, brothers, Robert Duncan, Russell Jeffers, George Jeffers, Roy Jeffers, Shirley Jeffers, Jack Jeffers, sisters, Inez Duncan & Jerrie McWhirter. She leaves to cherish her memories her son; Russell Smith of Marston, MO, five Daughters: Maria Smith of St Ann, MO, Sharon "Sue" Slusser of Fetus, MO, Cindy Smith of Fetus, MO, Judy Helm of Ellsbury, MO & Cherie Allinger of Portageville, MO; three sisters; Evelyn Wall of Clinton, MO, Frances Drummond of Farmington, AR, Olive Jeffers of House Springs, MO, 24 Grandchildren & Numerous Great-Grandchildren and a host of many other relatives and friends.
