Emily Carol Gee
Was born December 26, 1957 in Hayti, Missouri to Andrew John Eftink and Letha (Pigg) Eftink. She passed away on Thursday, August 17, 2017 at her home in Portageville, at the age of 59 years, 7 months and 22 days
Emily was united in marriage July 16, 1977 at St Eustachius Catholic Church in Portageville to the love of her life Robert (Bobby) Gee.
Preceding her in death was her father, Andrew John Eftink, December 6, 2014, one sister: Ruth Ann Mussarella, one niece, Sandra Kaye Mussarella and her son-in-law, Jack Petrovich in 2006.
She was a member of the St. Eustachius Catholic Church along with the Ladies of Sodality, she also served as board member on the Divine Holiness Outreach. She was a devoted daughter, wife, mother, grandmother, sister and friend. She was raised in Portageville, graduated from St Eustachuis School and then Portageville High School in 1976, in 1979 she received her BS in nursing at Southeast Missouri State University. She was COO for Extended Health Services in Hayti, MO.
Emily taught her children to work and take pride in their own families, she set examples by her own faith and the love of God. She battled Rheumatoid arthritis for many years and then later cancer but through it all she stayed optimistic, she loved and cared for others and her family. Her compassion was enormous but nothing match her love for her grandkids, her family and her faith.
She is survived by her husband, Bobby Gee, her mother, Letha Eftink, her daughters and sons-in-laws, Erin (Michael) Jeffries all of Portageville, MO, Sarah (Adam) Graddy of Springfield, MO, brother and sister-in-law , Stephen (Karen) Eftink of Portageville, MO, sisters and brothers-in-law, Charlotte (Larry) Coleman of Portageville, MO, Becky (Phil) Hawkins of Blytheville, AR her precious grandchildren, Connor & Brayden Jefferies and Reagan & Hayden Graddy and a host of many other relatives and friends.
