Elsie Mae Hughey

Elsie Mae Hughey was born on June 14, 1925 in Portageville, Missouri. to the late Maggie Sutton Slider & Cecil Slider. She passed away on Saturday January 13, 2024 at Piggott Hospital at the age of 98 years.

Preceding her in death was her parents, Maggie Sutton Slider and Cecil Slider, also preceding her sons Michael Hughey and Jospeh Hughey, brothers; Jack, Robert, Henry & Woodrow Slider and her sisters; Hazel Hawks & Viola Slider. She was united in marriage on September 1, 1946, in Portageville, Mo to SL Hughey, he preceded her in death on February 3, 1969. She was a member of St. Eustachius Catholic Church.

She leaves to cherish her memories, three daughters. Sarah Mansfield of Kennett, MO, Sandra Olson of Arlington, Washington, Shirley Cloutier of Palm Harbor, Florida, her sons; Sharon Hughey of Cape Girardeau, Mo, Christopher Hughey of Clearwater Florida, Thomas Hughey of Cape Girardeau, MO, 11 grandchildren. 10 great grandchildren and host of many other relatives and friends.
