Edgar C. "Ed" Mays

Was born Feb. 8, 1940 in Decatur County, TN to Forrest Mays and Mable Tuner Mays. He passed away on Thursday; Feb. 01, 2018 at his residence in Portageville, MO at the age of 77 years, 11 months and 24 days.

Preceding him in death were his parents, Mable (Turner) Mays and Forest Mays, his son; Alan Mays, his sisters, Dorothy & Tessie, great granddaughter; Aubree Bearden. Ed was in the refrigeration business for many years, he served in the United States Navy and was a member of the Apostolic Truth Tabernacle Church, he worked his whole life and enjoyed watching boxing, talking on the phone and loved hanging with his friend, Randy Hughes.

He leaves to cherish his memories his sons: Eddie (Jamie) Mays of Bloomfield, MO, Robert (Melissa) Mays of Portageville, MO, Lance (Emily) Sipes of Oxford, MS, daughter; Lauren (Justin) Sells of Brookland, AR, his brothers: Eugene Mays of Portageville, MO, Herbert Mays of Lilbourn, MO, Edward Mays of Cape Girardeau, MO, Douglas Mays of St. Charles, MO 11 Grandchildren, Christopher, Jessica & Cody Mays, Candice Beardon, Ashley Sebourn, Aaron Mays, Sabrina Eftink, Valerie Mays, Jackson Sells, Brooks & Emma Sipes, 10 great-grandchildren, Matthew & Brody Ray Lechenette, Elle Eftink, Hannah Carter, Ashlynn Bearden, Logan Bearden, Madylnn , Brexton & Raylynn Mays and a host of many other relatives and friends.
